## How it works

1. **Snap the receipt**: Take a photo or upload up to four. Qasemha reads every line and checks the math against the total; you review and edit before the table opens.
2. **Open the table**: Share an invite link or a six-character table code. Friends join from their own phones without an account.
3. **Claim what you ate**: Everyone taps their plates. Shared dishes can be split into fractions, and the rest stays open for others.
4. **Settle up**: Each person sees their share with VAT, service and discount included, pays the payer by InstaPay or cash, and the payer confirms it.

## FAQ

### What is Qasemha?

Qasemha (قسيمها) is a web app for splitting a restaurant bill with friends in Egypt. One person photographs the receipt, everyone joins the same table on their phone, claims what they ate, and pays their exact share in EGP.

### Do I need to sign up or create an account?

No. Nobody at the table needs an account, email or password. The host opens a table and friends join with a code or link.

### How does Qasemha read the receipt?

Take a photo or upload up to four images. Qasemha extracts each item, quantity and price plus VAT, service and discount, then checks the result against the printed total. You can edit any line before opening the table.

### How are VAT, service charge and discounts split?

In proportion to what each person ordered. If your food is a third of the subtotal, you pay a third of the VAT, service and discount — not an equal split.

### Can two or more people share one dish?

Yes. Claim a share of any item, such as a half or a quarter. Qasemha shows what is left so the same portion is never claimed twice.

### Does Qasemha handle the payment?

No. Qasemha never moves money. Friends pay the person who paid the restaurant by InstaPay or cash, mark it as sent, and the payer confirms it.

### Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It runs in any modern phone browser. You can also install it on your home screen: from Chrome on Android, or from Safari's Share menu on iPhone.

### Which languages and currency does it support?

English and Arabic, with a full right-to-left layout in Arabic. Amounts are in Egyptian pounds (EGP).
